“A taste of true Italian life, living amongst the locals”
This apartment is ideal for those who want to be within walking distance of the centre of Tropea (2mins) and it's many historic points of interest, restaurants, shops and bars, The main Piazza of Tropea with it’s many cafes/bars is 1min away, and it also a short walk from the various beaches and lido’s (5mins). Because of it's central location, you have to expect some noise.

The apartment is situated in an apartment block occupied mainly by Italian locals, so it really is a taste of how the locals live. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and furnished, with a sea view from every window. There is also a balcony which looks over the sea to Stromboli volcano.

We rented this apartment in January and it was ideal for our needs, being equipped with washing machine, TV/DVD, ipod docking station, central heating/aircon fully fitted kitchen and bathroom incl large bath. There is a supermarket, a snack and coffee bar just across the street/round the corner.

The English speaking management company, Tom & Paul from Calabria Management Services are also extremely friendly and helpful.

“the perfect apartment for a relaxing holiday in a wonderful location”
This was our second stay in this wonderful apartment which is clean, well equipped and sufficiently spacious, even with two teenagers.
Bedrooms are more than adequate, and bathroom and lounge have everything you'd need, right down to medicine kit, a selection of books, cds, dvds and local handbooks.
The balcony (which gets the sun from mid-morning to evening) has spectacular views over Tropea, the coastline and on to Stromboli.
From meeting us at Lamezia to having some initial "necessary" supplies (including cold white wine) ready for us, Tom and the team at Calabria Management couldnt have been more helpful.
The gardens and pool area are kept in perfect condition, with gardens tended every day and Francesco making sure that the pool and surrounding areas are pristine. Jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing and the kids pool very safe and well maintained. Never had a problem getting a few sunbeds, despite the fact that we were there when the annual dance school takes place, and definitely no none of the typical continental nonsense of people reserving sunbeds. The poolside snackbar was open when we were there, but seemed to be closing in mid-August.
When the dance school is on, there's also a shuttle bus that runs between Marasusa and Tropea every other hour for 2 euro per head, and they'll even do a midnight pick up from Tropea centre. It is possible to walk down to Parghelia (small supermarket and a great bakery for very reasonable luxurious patisserie) or on toTropea, but a car really is necessary, especially to sample some of the nearby towns, like Pizzo, Capo Vaticano, Vibo Marina etc al of which are worth a visit, as is the weekly market in Vibo Valentia.
Tropea itself is a lovely town with a square which is lively at night and many narrow winding streets where you will find a wide range of restaurants, from the most basic to quite sophisticated. Personal favourites would have been Tre Fontane, La Lamia and Pinturicchio, but all offer good value and good food, although for some it helps if you can speak a little Italian.
In all, the perfect apartment for a relaxing holiday in a wonderful location.

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday staying at Lily Rosa. Calabria isn't an area we've visited before and were a bit apprehensive but it lived up to all expectations.Lily Rosa is on the outskirts of Zambrone which is a village without many facilities or restaurants but we had an excellent welcome pack so it gave us time to find our way around.The villa is well equiped and the bed really comfortable, it's very quiet, so we slept really well. Car hire is required but if you want to get away from it all and are happy to sit out at night on the balcony and admire the fantastic sunsets, this is the place for you. Both Tropea and Pizzo are about 15mins away and we also got the ferry across to Sicily.Other days were spent on fantastic beaches in Capo Vaticano,Briatico, Tropea or Zambrone Mare.

“One of the best apartments I've been to for 100 euro per person/week!!”

Excellent apartment in southern Calabria (Tropea) with balcony with sea view, shared 'private' pool (when we wanted to jump in to the pool during the evenings we were the only ones in there always!!),parking...everything exactly how it was described in advert..
It's a bit outside from the town (nearest shop,restaurants 1km Marina di Zambrone, Tropea 7km) but that was exactly what we were looking for..silence,sea and relax..therefore car is must also if you want to discover Capo Vaticano and other secrets which are a must!!

“Fantastic views and amazing pool” - Delta Club

We stayed at the Delta Club Residence in August 2011 with our two boys (8 & 4). The apartment was comfortable and clean with a large balcony and spectacular views out to sea. The pool area was brilliant and the kids had a fantastic week. The local beaches were busy but nice with beautfully clear, calm water. A car was absolutely essential but everything we needed was accessible relatively close by - restaurants, supermarket etc.
The complex was small and secure and everyone was very friendly. The only downside to the apartment was that the kitchen was not very well equipped, no knives other than general cuttlery, and no kettle, and there was some noise at night in between apartments, scraping chairs, music etc.
Overall it was a great location and was almost perfect for a week's relaxing holiday in the sun.

“Just Perfect” - Amalfi

We stayed in this spacious apartment the last 2 weeks of August. The reception and key handover by Tom was perfect. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The kitchen could use some additional pans but you can manage, and who wants to cook with all the nice restaurants around? Magnificent views from the big terrace, very nice and clean pool. Perfect holiday in nice surroundings.
